‘Turbulence III’ along with ‘Turbulence II’ are two deeply personal works – loosely depicting bodies of water, the force and untamed power of nature, are a more expressive form of raw, unfiltered emotion and inner struggles that we all experience. The deep, dark colours evoke the depth of the struggle, the white representing the force.
Smooth brushstrokes of the sky create a juxtaposition with the more expressive brushstrokes in the foreground, evoking a rawness and unpredictability ~ the calmer path ahead versus the inner turmoil presently being experienced.
