BIOGRAPHY

Emma Price is an abstract and semi-abstract landscape painter based in Surrey, England. Her work is rooted in emotional memory and visual impressions drawn from the natural environments she has lived in and travelled through—primarily in the UK and Australia. Themes of nature, conservation, and the environment run deeply through her practice.

By stripping back representational line and form, Emma creates atmospheric and ethereal landscapes that evoke a strong sense of place. Through rich layers of light and colour, she enhances mood and drama, offering a contemplative space for viewers to reflect on their own connection to the natural world. Her work invites meditative stillness and explores how we, as individuals, find belonging and meaning within nature.

Emma began her creative journey with a Foundation in Fine Art before earning a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design. She went on to enjoy a successful career as an Art Director and Creative Director in both Sydney and London, working with some of the world’s leading women’s magazine titles. In 2019, she left the publishing world to pursue fine art full-time, evolving from realism in pencil drawing to her current abstract landscape style.

Emma’s work has gained notable recognition. She has been selected four times for the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation’s Wildlife Artist of the Year exhibition, winning the Earth’s Wild Beauty category in 2024 for her piece depicting wildfires. Her work has also featured in exhibitions by the Society of Women Artists and the Society of Graphic Fine Art, all at the Mall Galleries in London.

She was shortlisted for the Women in Art Prize 2023 and appeared as a wildcard on Sky Arts' Landscape Artist of the Year 2024. In 2024, she became an Associate Member of the Society of Graphic Fine Art (The Drawing Society UK). Emma regularly exhibits across the UK, and her work is held in private collections around the world.
